Foundations · Top left of layout
- The base card for this game will vary and is the lowest ranking card. In most other games this would be the Ace.
- Build up by alternate color from the base card to the rank just below the base card.
- Build Aces on top of Kings when necessary.
- Complete these piles to win the game.
Tableau · Below foundations
- Build down by alternate color.
- Build Kings on top of Aces when necessary.
- The topmost card only is available for play on the foundations and the other tableau piles.
- Empty spaces are automatically filled by the stock or waste.
Reserve · Right side of layout
- The topmost card is available for play on the foundations only.
Stock · Top right of layout
- Turn cards up one at a time from the stock.
- Cards from this pile automatically fill spaces in the tableau.
- There is no redeal.
Waste · Left of stock
- The topmost card is available for play on the foundations and tableau.
- Cards from this pile will fill the tableau automatically if the stock is empty.
