Foundations · Top of layout
- Build up in suit from Ace to King.
- Complete these piles to win the game.
Tableau · Below reserves
- Build down by alternate color.
- The topmost card is available for play on the foundations, another tableau pile or reserves.
- Any built unit of cards can be moved to another tableau pile.
- Empty spaces can be filled with a King or a pile whose bottommost card is a King.
Reserves · Below foundations
- These are the 'cells'.
- Cards in these piles can be played on the foundations and the tableau.
- Each reserve can hold one card.
Stock · Right of reserves
- Deals one card to each tableau pile.
- There is no redeal.
