Foundations · The Aces in the center of the reserves
- At the start of the game the Aces are dealt here.
- Build up in suit from Ace to King.
- Complete these piles to win the game.
Reserves · Around each foundation
- The topmost cards are available for play on the foundations.
- Empty spaces are filled from the waste or another reserve pile.
- Empty spaces may only be filled by a card of the same suit as the suit of the foundation pile adjacent to the space.
- At the start of the game one card is dealt to each pile.
- There is no building.
Stock · Top right of layout
- Turn up cards one at a time from the stock.
- There is one redeal.
Waste · Left of stock
- The topmost card is available for play on the foundations or empty spaces in reserves.
