- Build up in suit from Ace to King.
- Complete these piles to win the game.
Tableau · Top of layout
- Build down in suit.
- The topmost cards are available for play on the foundations or another tableau pile.
- Empty spaces can be filled by any card.
Reserve · Center of layout
- Storage location for any single card.
- Empty spaces can be filled by any card.
Stock · Bottom right of layout
- After all possible moves are made, cards from this pile are dealt to each one of the waste piles to create more possibilities.
- There is no redeal.
Waste · Bottom row of layout
- The topmost card is available for play on the foundations and reserve or the tableau.
- Empty spaces are filled from the stock.
